This book was published in December 1998. The author, James Bull is contributing all the proceeds to the
Holy Trinity Parish Restoration Fund.  The fund was set up by the parish's priest, Father Vincent Chavez to restore and maintain the parish's historic adobe chapels which are pictured on the back cover of the book.  To maximize the church's returns, Bull has not only donating the time he spent over the past three years to research and write the book, but he has also enlisted the support of individuals and merchants in the greater Taos area to help finance the production costs.
For an insightful look into the history of a northern New Mexico community from the time the Spanish arrived in this picturesque area, you will find that this book makes for some interesting reading.  Even people living today in the Arroyo Seco community are learning a little more about both their community and their ancestors.
Arroyo Seco is a remote Hispanic village located north of Taos, New Mexico.  The village would have remained remote far into the next millennium if skiers on their way to the Taos Ski Valley didn't have to drive through it.  Like the rest of the world, Arroyo Seco is slowly moving into the next century.  But not too fast I am happy to say!
Out of Time includes numerous photographs of Arroyo Seco and the churches of the parish.  These photographs are from both today and the past.  There are also maps and illustrations to add to the books interest. The front cover features a painting by Ed Sandoval, a Taos artist.  On the back cover are photographs by Ken Gillard and myself of the five churches of the Holy Trinity Parish.
Out of Time was designed, typeset, and published by Terry R. Wolff of Taos, New Mexico.  This is my first venture at publishing a book for another author and it won't the last, thanks to Jim.  I would like to take this time to point out that Jim presently has two other books in the works as well as a law practice in Denver, Colorado.  I wish Jim and the Holy Trinity Parish much success on this venture.  And you the reader, an enjoyable read!!!  ---Terry R. Wolff
