A winter's day at the studio

I have been a professional Wood Sculptor, Woodcarver, Sign Carver, as well as a carving instructor for over thirty years, During this time I have turned out well over 9,000 carvings that I have kept track of.  I didn't keep good records during the first decade.

As a sculptor, I enjoy expressing what I see in the various woods or other materials I use.  Wood is a very special medium for me as it has so much individuality and character to work with.

I am always interested in finding new and effective ways to fulfill the needs of prospective clients who can take advantage of my creative skills. I have started keeping a list of some of these clients are. And in more resent years have been including some of the work I have done for them. 

As an instructor, I have taught numerous individuals who have gone on to become either professionals like myself or the lucky ones became dedicated hobbyists how concentrate on their own projects. A number of these students, myself included, hold awards and ribbons for their works. As for myself, I receive great satisfaction in fulfilling the dreams of others and besides, where could I keep all the carvings which I have done over the years.
